My favorite daily deal site, Groupon, has a new reward program they’re testing out right now called Groupon Reward Points, or G’s.  Here’s a little blurb about it from the email I received:

As a Groupon Rewards Member, you’ll now earn points (we call them G’s) when you visit our website or buy a Groupon. Use your G’s on Today’s Deal or in our LocalRewards Marketplace, where you’ll find offers from some of the best businesses in your neighborhood. When you buy a Groupon, you may also get a G-oodie. Plus, top members will be invited to exclusive, by invitation only events.

I was checking this out today and let me tell you – I’m a big fan!  You can earn 1 G just for signing into your Groupon account each day.  Granted, 1 G is akin to 1 cent, but still.  I sign into Groupon every day as it is so now I’m excited to get rewarded for doing so.

Here’s something that’s even more exciting: Groupon has given me the ability to invite 5 of you to become a G before the program gets rolled out to the public.  Want to be a G?  I’ll invite the first 5 people that leave a comment below and include the email address you used to sign up for your Groupon account.  {You MUST already be a member of Groupon and you MUST have purchased one Groupon in the past.} {Edited to Add: All Groupon invites have been used up.}
